28th Thunder Mammoth 2023

ʊ Monday Feb 6th thru Friday Feb 10th
How:
We had 2 cars. Tony drove from Washington stopping one night in Carson City. Dave drove his truck with Martin, Lloyd, Bill, and Bob. Tony Drove back to Santa Barbara after the trip so Bob and Martin took turns riding with him.

Lodging:
Stayed at the Mammoth Mountain Chalets (#12) located near the Main Lodge. 3 bedroom, 3 bath A-frame cabin with beds for all. Location enabled us ski in/out capability, a feature we are in love with. .
Ski:
- Tuesday:Bluebird ski day- Out around 10:15 and skied various runs all over the mountain. Stopped for lunch around 12:30 but went back out till around 3:00. Great groomed run skiing.
- Wednesday: Same as Tuesday.
- Thursday: Same as Wednesday.
Dinners:
- Monday: Chicken and Shrimp Curry Soups from Tony
- Tuesday:Eggplant Parmison from Martin
- Wednesday: Shrimp Fra Diavolo pasta from Lloyd

Memories:

- Tony hitting deer outside of Carson City on Saturday
- Massive amount of snowpack in the Sierras.
- Significant new snow all on Sunday, setting up idealkiing for Mon-Friday
- Barry getting Covid before beginning of trip and deciding to sit this one out
- Lloyd broke his Clavicle on first day but skied for the whole trip
- 21 Bottles of wine
- New poker games from Lloyd (Mississippi mud, The Gay Jack)
- Bill and Dave were the poker winners
- FDR Badass Movie (courtesy of Bob)
- The Vase from the movie badass a running joke
- Stopping at Port-sub for lunch on way home
- Stopping to explore Fossil Falls on the way back.
